| <p></p><p>The <strong>HOOT</strong> Token is firmly tied to the city’s ecosystem development and it will become deflationary at some point as the players receive incentives to hold, causing prices to increase. Our goal in DeHoot Valley is to align those incentives for players and developers in new and exciting ways.</p><p>We aim to achieve that by:</p><ul><li><strong>Keeping our primary currency always in demand</strong>, as the primary form of in-game currency, players will need HOOT to pay for the various cargo, including plots, resources, and blueprints which are the 3 basic NFTs in the game. </li><li><strong>Allowing holders to actively participate in the future development of the game</strong>, as DeHoot Valley safely and gradually evolves from a managed structure to an unchaperoned online game. We want to decentralize ownership and governance and become a game that is truly owned by the community of players. </li><li><strong>Giving owners the power to vote</strong>, as part of the upcoming decentralized, autonomous organization of DeHoot Valley, owners will be able to participate in governance votes, allowing them to determine important matters such as what zone of the valley should be developed next. </li><li><strong>Offering holders staking rewards while giving them an incentive to hold their tokens</strong>, as they lock and burn their <strong>HOOT</strong> token, they reduce the circulating supply and will be rewarded with additional earnings based on the happiness level of their population.</li></ul> | ![](/files/RdC4C1SPidx5a03zTByp) |

## VALLEY Token

**VALLEY** is DeHoot Valley's secondary token, the native currency designed to support the play-to-earn reward system. There is an infinite supply of Valley but keep in mind that they are also required and burnt while playing and achieving different goals (gathering resources, making the mixtures, and building).&#x20;

You don’t have to worry about inflation though! Our team will keep an eye on the rate and make sure that an optimal balance between supply and demand is maintained.&#x20;

Players can earn **VALLEY** through the game's variables ([population](/dehootvalley/game-variables/population.md), [jobs](/dehootvalley/game-variables/jobs.md), [utilities](/dehootvalley/game-variables/utilities.md), [education](/dehootvalley/game-variables/education.md), and [tourism](/dehootvalley/game-variables/tourism.md)). Also, the token will be staked each time a player completes a play-to-earn task, and when special events take place. This makes **VALLEY** a valuable asset, as it is needed to develop your city and upgrade your buildings.&#x20;

We know that the most successful crypto projects and protocols share one important characteristic: they generate their funding, and in DeHoot Valley we plan to get funds with:
